ATIS Research was incorporated in January 2017. Our team currently consists of a number of people who are all doing their best to make this project work!
Douglas Shipton

Douglas was formerly a certified first responder, he taught Red Cross first aid for 6 years and holds a number of qualifications in rescue and health. He ensures that every aspect of this research remains ethical in every way possible and conceived the idea for this project.

Fiona Shipton RG
BSc (Hons)
(Head researcher)  

Fiona is a final year PhD student from the University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus, School of Pharmacy. She graduated from the University of Nottingham (UK campus) with a B.Sc (Hons) in biochemistry and genetics. With the necessary experience in venom research as well as a variety of other areas of research, she is heading the experimental aspect of this project.  

Khadijah Asif
(Presenter)  

Khadijah Asif, having previous experience with the NTV team, will be the voice and face of our awareness documentaries, reporting the facts about snakebite and interviewing our academics.  
Victor Silva
(Animator)  

Victor, with much experience in developing animations, will be creating educational videos about the problem of snakebite and raise awareness of this project.  

Update (Sept 2017): For those who have been following our progress for the past few years, you may have noted that we have not released any media to promote awareness or our project. As such, Victor Silva, who has been a part of our project since 2015, will not be a part of our team anymore. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
